Will I look frozen?+
Only if too much goes in the wrong place. That is the entire skill of it. Starting with less and reviewing at two weeks is always an option.
Does it hurt?+
The needle is very fine and most people describe a brief pinch.
How soon can I go back to work?+
Immediately.
How long does it last?+
Around three to four months for most people. It varies by area and by person.
What is the difference between Botox, Dysport and Xeomin?+
They are the same class of product with slightly different formulations. Dysport spreads a little more, which can suit larger areas like the forehead. Xeomin has no added proteins. Dr. Mauer uses all three and picks based on the area.
Am I too young for it?+
Plenty of people start in their late twenties and thirties to stop lines from setting in. It is a conversation at the consultation.
What if something is not right?+
Come back and be seen. Most concerns after neurotoxin settle on their own or are adjusted at a two week review, and the review appointment costs nothing.
